When Cathlyn & Harvey met, to everyone's surprise (believe me everyone's surprise) Cathlyn volunteered one weekend to go to church with Harvey, since he already attended St. Matthews United Methodist Church and had not only been a member for several years but also plays in the Piece Ringers Bell Choir.  Well upon attending Harvey's church, Cathlyn met Pastor Wes Arthur and made an instant connection with him and since then has enjoyed her relationship with him, even after Wes retired from the church (which was a major disappointment to Cathlyn).  Shortly after meeting Wes, Cathlyn had  turned to Harvey and told him if they ever got married she wanted Wes to marry them, and they stuck to that plan since.  So after the engagement there was no doubt who would marry them.

Even though Cathlyn & Lisa are not biologically related their relationship became so close over the years that they have just called each other sisters and Cathlyn is known to Lisa's son as Aunt Cathy since the day he was born as well as the soon to be daughter of Lisa.

I met Katie through Harvey.  When I first met Katie she was ringing bells at St. Matthews United Methodist Church which is the church that Harvey belongs to and rings as well.  I have always found Katie funny and great to be around, that is why there was no question about it when Harvey asked me why not ask Katie to be a bridesmaid, I immediately said yes.

I have changed Katie from a Bridesmaid to Maid of Honor as well because Katie as been nice enough since my Sister Lisa can't really do all the usuall Maid of Honor duties to step in and do so many things for me.  I wanted to show my appreciation and how grateful I was to her for all she has done and so I figured what the heck, I would have 2 Maid's of Honors.

Vanessa & Cathlyn met while commuting back and forth to work on public transportation here in Northern VA.  While getting to know one another both were surprised to find out that not only did they work just down the street from one another but they also lived very close to one another.  This friendship only started in early 2005 but developed quicly into a close friendship.

Cathlyn became very excited when she found out Joe & Penny had a little girl (Emily) since neither her or Harvey have any nieces, not only did Cathlyn finally get the little girl she could spoil with all the little girl gifts she has never had the chance to buy but when Harvey & Cathlyn became engaged there was no doubt who they wanted as their flower girl.

Eric came down to visit Joe and Mark with Penny, who he worked with at the NRC in PA.  It was Eric who introduced Joe and Penny (who later on got married and now have two little girls).  Later on, Eric would move down and join the Braves hockey team and they played together for several years together.

Eric is also a member of the poker group that Harvey belongs to and they play once a month.  The poker group just celebrated their 10 years of playing together a few months ago.

As Mark and I became friends and started hanging out, I met Joe, who was Mark's roommate at the time. After Joe met Penny, he spent alot of his weekend in PA until eventually moving up there.

I met Mark at the first HNA meeting, it turned out that we were going to be teammates on the Braves.

Cordell is my youngest newphew. When we got engaged their was no question who would be my ring bearer. 

Ricky is Vanessa's younger brother. He was nice enough to agree to step in and be our 2nd usher when I asked him.

Josh is is Harvey's 14 year old nephew, son of Howie & Brenda.
